每逢正月廿六，市民祈福后，会来到庙前吃生菜包，取其“包生”之意，寓意求子求福、添丁发财，生菜宴由此而来。

吃生菜包有几个步骤，洗净生菜，放炒饭及各样小菜于生菜叶内，蘸上酱料，包成小包即可食用。甜脆可口的生菜包住多汁美味的小炒，十分诱人。每样菜都有吉祥寓意，如酸菜炒蚬肉，寓意为子孙显达；粉丝虾米，寓意长命富贵。
